Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school ... again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the oages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.
Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed in his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with his father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.
So, like you probably know this is a really popular and hyped book and I think I'm one of the last persons who read it.
I think I haven't even read it if my two best friends hadn't read it before me (what happens almost never) and got me into reading it.
I'm honest when I say I hadn't high expectations ono it because it was a book where the male protagonist is 12 years old so I thought it would probably be really childish but..
I really enjoyed this book and so it's no wonder I read it in one-and-a-half days.
The characters were so adorable you just have to love them and the plot was really cool. I think it was really good written and explained while and how Percy gets involved into this world of monsters, gods and half-bloods and you could really see how he got braver throughtout the quest.
I think this is one of some of these books you can read at all points of your life: as a child, as a teenager and as an adult.
So I gave this book :
I'm really looking forward to read the sequel !
Hope you enjoyed my review (:
